Melanoma is Australia’s third most diagnosed cancer with over 18,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Our clinical trials cover stage I to stage IV melanoma and include early detection, surgical, immunotherapy and radiation therapy approaches.

Skin Cancer

Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are Australia’s most common forms of skin cancer. Most are not life-threatening if found early. Our skin cancer clinical trials focus on prevention and early detection.

Merkel cell carcinoma

Merkel cell carcinoma is a rare, highly aggressive form of skin cancer that spreads very quickly. Our clinical trials investigate new treatments for early stage and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma, with a focus on immunotherapy.

Ocular / uveal melanoma

Uveal melanoma is a rare and aggressive form of ocular melanoma that is clinically and biologically different to skin melanoma. Our uveal melanoma research focuses on gathering patient data to inform best practice and improve patient care.
