The Australasian Ocular Melanoma Alliance (AOMA) held an educational gathering in Hobart on the 7th of March. The meeting, convened by Dr Louise Nott and AOMA Chair Professor Anthony Joshua, was well attended by 29 people across many disciplines including ophthalmologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, optometrists, pharmacists, medical researchers, nurses and the MASC Trials team.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive and we hope to offer future opportunities to bring medical professionals together to discuss advancements in the treatment of this rare and aggressive cancer. Thank you to Medison for their sponsorship of the meeting and assisting MASC Trials to deliver much needed education and support to medical professionals from Tasmania’s North and North/West treating the ocular melanoma community.
